Fashion Inspiration - Spyro the Dragon

Some of you may remember this little guy. His name is Spyro, and he stars in a classic video game series. Spyro the Dragon first came out in 1998 for Playstation. It's the first video game my parents bought me and my brother as kids, and it's one of the first I remember playing. The original Spyro trilogy was made by Insomniac Games, and they later sold the series to Universal. After that, the series pretty much went down the toilet. However, Spyro was a big part of my childhood, and even though he's a little purple dragon, who says we can't draw fashion inspiration from him? Here are a few outfits inspired by characters from the original trilogy.

 Outfit 1 - Spyro
Spyro
For Spyro, I wanted to combine cool and tough items. My favorite part of this outfit is the sunglasses because they capture his chill but smartass attitude.

Outfit 2 - Elora
Elora

Elora is a faun from Avalar, the world Spyro is transported to in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! Elora is spunky and also a bit of a smart-aleck like her dragon friend, demonstrated by the red tights and sparkly rose earrings. To achieve a hoof effect, I added high heels.

Outfit 3 - Zoe
Zoe

Zoe is a fairy who helps Spyro and marks his checkpoints. She first appeared in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! I love the scarf because it is sheer and multicolored, representing Zoe's wings. I also made the outfit simple so it would balance the wild red wig. I would love to try wearing a wig somewhere other than a party sometime.

Remember, these are just starting points! And if you have any other Spyro-related ideas, be sure to share them in the comments!
