I'm not gonna lie to you - I don't like to spend a lot of money on makeup. However, I do wear it every day, and I like to add a little stand-out color on occasion, so I like to find inexpensive stuff.
For mascara, it's Loreal Voluminous with the curved brush. I like to use a newer tube, an older tube, and a nearly dried-out tube all at the same time - the dried-out tube is for the lower lashes. The stuff's like, six to eight bucks, which ain't too bad.
As for lipstick, I just got into wearing it this year. I like big or interesting colors. And you know what's cheaper than dirt? NYC lipstick. For suresies. I've got the Ultra Moist LipWear in Ruby (305) and the Ultra Last LipWear in Flirty (417) and Berry Rich (416). They work well. I mean, of course you're gonna have to reapply when you eat and stuff, but otherwise they're lovely, and they're usually less than two bucks. There are some fun shades that really pop.
